Marcel Flisiuk has earned his status in artistic enclaves, in the national and international galleries, and among his faithful collectors by his remarkable trademark school of painting. He is self-taught. His mother feared any academic approach to art. Marcel was drawing before he had started walking! This video demonstrates some of his early work, mostly in acrylics, while now his primary medium are oils on canvas. Marcel Flisiuk was an accomplished and recognized artist at the age of 11, being part of New Orleans' artists' colony. He has been working very hard since early childhood. Art however is his great passion, and his life. His metaphysical ideas are defining his school. He is an avid reader of the French Literature, and passionate about Akira Kurosava's movies.He is an avid reader of French literature and lover of music ( not only classical).
