Gefährliche Wurzelfresser
Südhessens Wald droht enormer Schaden durch Maikäfer. Im nächsten Jahr erwarten Experten mehr als 100 Millionen Tiere. Problematisch ist vor allem die hohe Anzahl an Maikäferlarven im Waldboden. Der Engerling ernährt sich von den Baumwurzeln, ganze Waldbestände sterben deshalb ab.
Kuhle Ferien
Wo kommen Eier, Milch, Fleisch und Mehl her? Ganz genau wissen das die Kinder, die beim Ferienprogramm des Hofguts Oberfeld in Darmstadt teilgenommen haben. Sie durften Getreide ernten, dreschen, mahlen, Brot backen, noch warme Eier einsammeln, Kräuter pflücken, Kühe streicheln, eben eine Woche lang dauer spielen.
